Long ago, there were several clever piglets who needed to find safe places to live. The first pig {was lazy{ and made a home out of loose hay. The Porky, as he was known was a bit more careful, so he made a safe haven out of branches. But the Percy, the cleverest of them all|was very wise and decided to build his house out of solid stone.
One day, a big, bad wolf, and he was very hungry. He arrived at the first pig's door and asked politely, "Little pig, may I come in?". The smallest of the three pigs told him to go away. The wolf {huffed and puffed and blew the house down|tossed the straw house aside with one huff and puff! The first pig ran as fast as he could to his brother's house.
- The hungry wolf tracked down the first pig, and he came up to the second pig's house of sticks. He asked nicely, "Let me in!"
- the second brother answered bravely, "Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!". But {the wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down|blew with all his might, and the second pig scampered away to his brother's house.
The two pigs arrived at their eldest brother's brick house. The wolf, who was getting extremely annoyed, reached the final house. He said once more, "Little pig, little pig, let me in!"
